Parents of big families...I need GOOD come backs for idiots!

When my grandfather did not want to answer peoples questions he would say to them, "That's some more of your business." That worked every time to hush up folks with too many questions.

I find that when people ask me things that are none of their business, a slightly puzzled look and "Why do you ask?"

This is an excellent comeback Terrie-lace! if you can pull off the confused face really well, all the better.

It's hard to come up with a good answer to that.

When I told a group of friends that our daughter was getting married, and described her beautiful dress, one of my really immature friends (she's almost 40!) said "Is her dress white?"

How rude

It's funny because as I sat there staring at her, I recalled that she once told me how "wild" she had been in high school and college. She must have forgotten 'cause her wedding dress was white as snow.

When someone says something rude to my closest friend, she always says very kindly: "my dear, your secret thoughts are really none of my business". I think that's my favorite.

I feel very sad that I did not have more than one child. If I could do it over again, I'd have 2 or 3.

That is when you need to go to customer service and ask to speak to a manager. You do not go to shop somewhere to be embarrassed and belittled by their staff!! Especially Walmart who promotes their store as being a friendly place with the smiley face and all. I think they have a right to know. I had this happen, not about family size, but something similar and brought it up to a manager and they were very apologetic and immediately went to speak to the cashier. I was not from the area, so not sure if the person was fired or what, but from what she said, she should have been.
