Saw your edit, too. hehe I told my mother one I plan to use for REALLY bad ones is "Oh, we're just trying to outnumber the idiots." ;-)

You're welcome

And that's my second favorite one too. LOL Because I'm a meanie.

TMI, but we don't use any bc methods. The more kids the merrier! DH is one of 8. We're at 2 and counting, I had that large family comebacks bookmarked. My uncle's a reallllllll socialite.

Bought me a pack of pampers and a box of condoms for Xmas 2 years ago.

I hope you blew them up and decorated his car with them.

I woldn't have wasted the Pampers, but could think of some fun ways to decorate his car with those, too!

Good luck and once you have two, the rest is gravy.

I always said (and believe) that once you are outnumbered, adding more on doesn't change much except a little more money and a lot more love.

Nope. LOL Good idea though. I gave them to my younger brother for safety purposes

The pampers went unused, since we use cloth. I believe I gave them to my cousin when she had her baby the November before me.

And thank you. Breastfeeding has made trying to conceive a little difficult this time around, but at 20 months and counting, we're bound to get it sooner or later!

I love big families!!! I agree though, people amaze me with how incredibly rude they can be, especially strangers!! Don't you want to just

I like the suggestion to just stare at them, make them seem like the jerk that they are.

We have 4, 2 older kids 17 & 19 and 2 younger (adopted) 8 & 4, we are thinking about adopting again when the 17 year old goes off to college. We would probably adopt an older child, because we are getting to old to start over with a baby or toddler though. If money were no object, I would have tons of them, there are so many kids that need homes.

Don't you want to just

CONGRATS!

I find that when people ask me things that are none of their business, a slightly puzzled look and "Why do you ask?" works wonders. When they tell you why they ask, let it hang there while staring at them, head cocked a bit and that slightly puzzled look on your face. Then say"I guess I am not understanding why you are asking that".
Repeat as needed.

Didn't read all the posts, but have 5 myself, ages 21 years to 6 years. Heard every negative, rude and obnoxious comment in the book of meanies. Congratulatoins on baby #5. After the little one we look around for more after we're done counting. Like there's not enough to keep track of.My sis has 7 and her and I hit town with at least 6 or 7 together. people just stare.I laugh. My mom was an only child and had 5 too. I love big families.

Congrats!!

I have 5 kids 10-1 years old. My favorite rude comment was "What were you thinking?" Mil said that when we told her we were preggo with #4. Now everytime I see her(which is not often) I make sure I say we are planning on more, maybe 10.

Sometimes I wonder if some people think before they blurt stuff out. My fav comment when I'm shopping is "Are they all yours?"

My reply, "no, I like to pick up strays when I go shopping!"

Don't let people ruin your excitement about the new baby.

I'd either look at them oddly and say "why do you ask?"
OR
I'd look at them and say something totally off the wall like "yah and we haven't even figured out how I keep getting pregnant??". That's my own sense of humor though.

First of all...CONGRATS!!!

I'd love to have more, but we made a hasty decision after number 4 and are now regretting getting the big "V".

The worst one for me was when I went in with pregnancy #3 and my new OB (we had just moved) asked if I wanted to set DH up for a vasectomy!
he.gif
I said we weren't done yet, and were having at LEAST one more! THEN...she had the nerve to ask if I was sure and that kids were expensive!
somad.gif
Excuse me! I was almost 30 (at the time) and had private insurance! It's not like I was a kid just having a bunch of kids with different dads! Not that that was any of her business, but SHEESH!
smack.gif
I looked at her like she had 3 heads and found another OB.

People are idiots!

Congrats on the new baby!

I would have about 2 or 3 more if I could. I almost had DH talked into the reversal, but he had a rough time with the vasectomy and had a hard time healing. I keep hoping it will reverse on its own!

But, not likely.

I know it's hard, but just ignore them.
