We haven't told alot of people yet. I'm waiting on the "What were you thinking?!" and "Are you crazy?!" comments-more then likely coming from the brother/sister in laws....more-so because our third boy has special needs, and does require alot of care/attention. I'm sure they can't even *imagine* me being able to handle everything...roll tongue
So far I have gotten only two of that type of reaction. One of my friends who I would not expected that from said, "omg you're crazy! Are you getting fixed after this?" My response was, "Should I?" She didn't have anything to say to that.
She didn't mean any harm, I know. But it still bothered me. Her question came from how hard my last pregnancy was, and the fact that once a woman has had multiples, there is a much higher chance that she can have them again. She did say congratulations though ^_^ I'm noticing that the people that seem to be uncomfortable by it are being silent, I guess out of politeness.
Hi Asher! Wow- didnt see this till today! CONGRATS!!!! Big hugs to you and your family
No advice as far a comebacks- I am one of those people who thinks of them an hour later after stewing on it. I would just sigh really loudly, sort of shake my head and walk away.
Hey - I wanted to say congrats!!! We have what is considered a large family too - a 15 year old, a 12 year old and twins at 10. No one said anything to us until we were pregnant with the twins. I know exactly how you feel - don't you know what causes that? comment just irked me to no end. I always thought of replying "apparently you don't" but thats not nice ....
We absolutely LOVE our big family!!!! Congrats and best wishes!

That's pretty close to how far apart ours are with the last two being a set of twins. All of ours are still "little" though-no ones hit the teen or tween years yet. That's when it started for us too is when we were pregnant with the twins.
Oh Fantastic! Congrats to each family big and small.
I am grandma to 11 going on 12. The little one on the way has 5 siblings to look forward to - 2 brothers, 1 sister and 2 brothers (would like a girl but a boy would work fine too). The more to share with. Share good times, share bad times, share happy, share sad, share work, share play, share secrets and share cheers. To share is what life is about, otherwise human kind would not exist. Right.
I feel sorry for those out there who hate life so much they must make rude comments to make themselves feel better. Loneliness must be what makes them that way, or is it they are that way because they make themselves Lonely?
I am not a parent of a big family but I have a big family 9 kids 8 at home and the best one is are you just learning to count too but you have to say it realy slow
