Hen with bumblefoot. Swollen foot pad with the typical scabbed stone.

I soaked the foot 2x, but the stone would not loosen.

I ended up picking about 65% of it out with tweezers in an attempt to avoid cutting healthy tissue. There was blood.

After, I treated and bandaged the area, without cutting or squeezing anything out of the swollen foot pad.

What will happen now? Should I go back and try to remove the rest of the stone?

Should I address the enlarged foot pad? I'm not sure whether it's puss-filled, swollen, or both.

It's important to get all of the staph (what bumblefoot is) removed, and prevent further infection. Try soaking your hens foot daily in clean, warm water with Epsom salts. To promote healing you may then run it under cold running water for 10-15 minutes. Afterwards make sure you spray it with a disinfectant and maybe put an antibiotic such as Neosporin on it. Make sure it stays clean.
