My baby chicks arrived last Wednesday, so they are about a week old (hatched Sunday or Monday, shipped Monday from MPC). I had one DOA, and I've been trying to figure out which one is deceased.

The Delawares (2 of them) are easy.

The third yellow chick has to be an ee (she has puffy cheeks and none of the other breeds I ordered are yellow). She already has tail feathers.

Have I identified the next three correctly?

Golden Campine

Golden Lace Wyandotte (I'm calling her that from the coloring on her wings)

The last chick is a problem. She could be a Partridge Rock or an EE. She is lots smaller than the presumed GLW -- about the size of the presumed Campine (who is the smallest of the chicks). Her legs are dark (not clearly green, but definitely not yellow or white)

Any input would be appreciated. MPC thought from the photo of the deceased bird that it was either an EE or a PR.

Nothing is certain. Here is another picture of the DOA chick that shows her back. She wasn't leopardy (is that a word) looking like pics of Campine chicks, but anything is possible.

Have a pic of the deceased birds comb? Your EE should be fairly easy to tell from a PR by comb; you're right though, they look a lot alike. I'm leaning towards your deceased being your PR.
