Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Thanks! I really like her! I have an elementary understanding of genetics and I am working on learning more but she has definitely thrown me for a loop. I hatched her from eggs I bought.

Oh, the reason I was asking about your blue partridge color was because some of yours look a lot like mine and I am almost positive they are blue partridge. The two last pics in your post are the ones that are blue partridge, yeah?

This is the other 5 month old, she is very dark. The flash of the camera bleached her out a lot. She is a dark partridge, not blue at all.

That was all the same girl. The inside shots don't show her blue petticoat like the outside natural light does. She is blue partridge. I will try to get some shots of the light blue one. I have a good one of her booty (she is on the right).

So both of these are blue partridge? Such different shades of blue! I love the bottom one. Literally!!! LOL! They look very nice. Mine still have some growing to do and then they will go into the breeder pens. Can't wait! I am pleased with my babies.

OK here are some pictures of the partridge with the light blue petticoat. For the longest time I thought she was a boy when I saw that comb and those wattles coming in. These first pictures were right after I got these three (they were rescues) and they are about 3 to 4 months old.

A little bit older here at about 6 months - she was the first to lay eggs and go broody.

This is all the same pullet - she will be a year old on April 22.

My First Partridge Silkies hatched yesterday! oh my gosh, i was so excited when my hen got off her nest and underneath her was a beautiful, chirping baby! I was even more surprised that the baby wasn't hatched for more than an hour before it was sold! Chickens are just so exciting!!
