Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

She is beautiful, and I like your picture of her much better than the Breeder's picture! I think perhaps she has grown up more since that earlier picture.

Aww, thank you! The breeder's picture was posted on August 8, I picked her up and took that picture on August 11! So she couldn't have aged too much... maybe I just capture her better?
She does seem like a different silkie here, than she was at the breeder's.

She loves them but they're not very nice to her after a little while of supervised interaction.


She is such a happy eater! She's always chirping and trilling excitedly when she eats <3

Meet "Milo", he/she is about 4-5 months old. Starting to look like a boy, but are not yet sure. We love her/him either way. Hope you do too

I think s/he is very pretty. Let us know if it does turn out to be a boy, most birds with that all over coloring and distinct penciling are female. And pullets can be more aggressive than cockerels - very pushy and picky - whereas the boys are nice.

I know that we have a Silkie thread, but how about a partridge Silkie thread for JUST the partridge? I love the partridge and I'm sure others do also. Here are some pics of my babies.

This is Watson. I also have his brother that looks just like him except he doesn't have quite as heavy of feathering on his feet. They are 4 and 1/2 months old.

This is 1 of several pullets that I have. They all are in the same age range of 4 to 4 & 1/2 months.

These are from the second hatch. They are all between 5 wks. and 9 wks. old

This last picture is of a cockerel from the first hatch. He is of awesome type and very large (hence the name Baby Huey). I have question on his color. Would he be considered blue?

Thanks for any input and I hope others will post pictures of their beautiful partridge.

I've been on the Silky thread for a couple months now. I have a Partridge Roo & a Tortise Shell Cockrell. I thought they both leave a lot to be desired in color. But OH MY GOODNESS yours are beautiful!

Just love your beautiful Partridges; it's MY favorite color in Silkies too. You're right though---very few breeders show them (unfortunately). I always try to take 5 or 6 to the shows and am always surprised at the number of people who have never even seen a Partridge Silkie

Hey Jen!!! Doin good /img/smilies/smile.png Baby is doin real well also. She's 3 months old already! How are you doing? I'm a little confused at to what this is and so is the seller that I got the eggs from. I wanted to sell him/her because I don't know what it is and I don't want to mix another color in my pens. I was also kinda thinking calico but not sure how that color is created? I'm going to have to ask "fowlrus" what color Silkies she has because, like I said, I was supposed to get pure Lav eggs? /img/smilies/idunno.gif
