Those are awesome- what's funny is that I was JUST looking at textured back grounds for it when I signed on. Love these!
Thanks! What name or farm name do you want me to use to give you credit for them?

No farm name, I just raise chickens for myself (mostly) for eggs and comic relief. If somebody asks you can say I (ChickNmamma) used the Paint.Net program available free on the internet - because it is good advertising for them and they give the program away for free - so the more who know about it, and possibly donate when they find out how great the program is once they use it - the better!

They are never too young to guess....a guess is only that and harmless. This one screams boy to me though, I'd just about bet the farm on it. ;-)
Well crap. Maybe he will be an awesome roo. I didn't want to keep a lot of boys, but I really wanted my only partridge. We will see I guess. They are never too young to guess....a guess is only that and harmless. This one screams boy to me though, I'd just about bet the farm on it. ;-)

That is a better picture, thanks. And I still have no clue what could be making that coloration - I haven't seen a white chested anything.that I can remember.. perhaps it will change when it gets its adult feathers and will give us a better idea of what you have there. Partridge based yes, possibly blue - but white chest?![]()
Looks similar to the quail variety (most commonly seen in d'Anvers). From feathersite:

Quote: I think this bird would be undesirable for breeding partridge. The variety appears to be quail. It does not appear to have pattern gene, and it does have the columbian gene. It might also have melanotic, which turns penciling into lacing. I cant see its back well enough to tell.
