Well, yesterday I moved the nasty rooster into the same pen as my black leakage since my partridge breeding is done for the year. He was quickly put in his place and when I walk into the pen now I feel safe. Satan my black/leakage roo is so sweet and if Zipper tries anything Satan is right there to put him back in his place. I am protected by a watch rooster!
I really do hope someone is brave enough to take him. He throws such NICE babies.

X 2 on this lol....
Thanks all !!
I think they are about 4 months old and these two came from my paint/blk breeding. When I first started hatching the paints
I got several partri and haven't hatched any more since. I didn't even no you could get partri from that color so I was very surprised. I htought I had marked the eggs wrong. But these paints are a whooooole nother story lol....
Nothing to do with this thread (sorry) but if anyone needs a beautiful paint roo let me know. He is from Judy L BUT he does had a "single ish" comb.
OMG!!!! I am so excited!! Even though she's a little late (but perfect timing for me) I now have a broody hen!!! When I took her out of the pen with the rooster I saw that she was acting really funny. I thought he had really hurt her. I took her in and put her in a nice quiet secluded cage with lots of shavings. She putts around the first day and then started getting cranky. She laid a really funky egg and then just went and huddled down in the corner. When I went in today and started to pet her she went into the broody routine and kind of growled at me. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I took an egg that I got from my little white hen and put it in there and she just hunkered down on it. She's just so cute!!!! I'm going to let her hatch out some of the eggs that I have put in the incubator in the last few days. I have them marked by name and date laid and date due. It should be 1/2 parti and 1/2 white babies. Too bad I can't fit all 2 doz. under her!!!

Well, doesn't that mean this is a great & fun thread?
Hentoo (that's my new broody) would only let me put 2 more eggs under her. So she has 2 partridge and 1 white. I made sure that they will all (or hopefully) hatch within a day or 2 of each other.
