Cool Whip and I believe it's a little pullet. I think I dont name the girls bc I have more girls than boys

Definitely looks like Cool Whip to me!! I think you are right about it being a pullet. Very cute girl!!

Well, I got 5 girls washed today and they are very unhappy drying under the heat lamps. I think I am going to keep them in tonight because it's suppose to get so cold. Winters here!!!! Now I only have 6 or 7 boys to wash!!! Holy crapolies, how am I going to get all of this done? The girl that was supposed to help me isn't feeling good so she can't help (she has terminal cancer so we take it one day at a time with her). She loves the Silkies so on her good days she loves coming over. So I will have to manage on my own. I have laundry to do and crates to make and clean out the car... I'm going to be too tired to go to the show!!!

Hi All! I'm behind on this thread. I've looked back a few pages at the pictures. I have to tell you Partridge Silkies are my favorites. My Oliver from Sonoran Silkies is just the sweetest guy. Funny thing, all of a sudden he is taking control of the flock and showing some dominance out there. He's a good boy too, showing the girls where there is something good to eat and calling them to the coop at night. I just adore him.

What do you use to bath your silkies so they are soft? When I picked up mine from Sonoran Silkies they were so soft and smelled so good. I've given them a bath since, and they are a little rough. My white silkie is the same way, although she is not nearly as fluffy as the ones I got from Sonoran, she is hatchery stock, I would like to find just the right thing to bath them in.

Check out my BYC page if you want to see the silkie cross chick I got and how she is growing. She gets prettier every week.

I use a couple of different things. Today I used Adam's flea and tick shampoo and then I also used a dog shampoo with vit. E and aloe. It made them so soft and so shiny. You can hardly feel them when you pick them up. They are just like silk. They smell so good you just want to stuff your nose into them!!! I really worked for the girls.
Ya know I have a couple that are that soft to begin with. I don't know where that came from.

I had used an oatmeal bath for puppies and then I had also used some sheen spray to get some oil back onto them when I got mine ready for a show. It really worked out well they looked wonderful.

Your little silkie mix is adorable! I think all the silkie mixes end up being so pretty!!!
