Those really are nice photos!!! I had to chuckle when I was looking at the first 3(?) of the regular silkie and then I come across the last one of the show girl.... I just thought that was so funny. The look on it's face is like "who shaved off all of my feathers? I only wanted a light trim on top!!!!"

That is not acceptable for a partridge Silkie, no. To be quite honest I have never seen something like that. My best guess is that he's got some silver gene in him somewhere - but I'm certainly no genetics expert.. Just read the SOP for partridge Silkies and it never mentions silver as all.

Can I get some opinions on this boy? I was concerned about the silver color in the hackles - is this acceptable? Honest thoughts please, I can take it :)

Thanks Pennie. This was a boy who came from a blue x blue breeding (partridge in the gene somewhere). He will just be a cute pet...he has such a good personality and I just love to hug him :)

He reminds me of Salmon or more the Calico...I would use him for a project LOL he has a good overall type from what I can see in the pictures!
