Pasty butt? Help!

They’re eating manapro medicated chick starter. They are 1-2 days off from being a week old. Temp is around 95 in there..just went and checked on the one that was pretty bad..she was pooping when I walked up, yay! Fell straight on the bedding .

Pooping is Good!!

Thank you for the photo. Now, I'm not picking on you! I see a few things, I think you if you correct them, you will solve most of your pasty butt problems.
Your whole brooder does not need to be 95F. Chicks only need one warm spot - think about how they brood with a hen - they run around and only return to her to warm up a bit, then off they go again.
Move your lamp to a corner. Look at your photo - all your chicks are avoiding that lamp-see that black circle - that's a hot zone. They are avoiding it, so that tells us it's too hot. Raise the lamp up and move it.
Food/water should be on the coolest side of your brooder, you don't want your water hot, make it cool. They aren't drinking well because the water is in the heat.

See if that makes a difference for you.

I used to feed medicated food to my chicks. Always got pasty bums. I stopped. I know, not all agree, but for years, my chicks have done great..into hens! I only use a 100 bulb at first..then lower to 75 within a week. I use the large Walmart bins. They can move to and from the heat source as needed. When you find that your chicks are staying away from the heat..time to lower the watt again.

Wanting to buy? Go to the sale thread, or, to your state thread. If you're just wondering about who may have had them...me! I love Nn's ..with the bow ties. Here are a couple.

Just curious about them. I’ve had mine for almost 2 months now, again I bought them from someone who didn’t know anything about any of her chickens, so I’m not sure how old. They both just laid their first eggs on Sunday and I haven’t gotten another egg since? Here’s a picture I have of them..if need be I can take more
