Pasty Butt or Dried Umbilical Cord? Please Help!

One of our chicks has a hard/ dry lump and it does not look like her vent/ butt. We think we can see her vent under her tail and this is below it. We are thinking it’s possibly part of her umbilical cord, but want to make sure it’s not pasty butt! We are new at this, so any advice would be a blessing. Thanks so much!

Chicks don't have umbilical cords. Soak the chick in warm water to get the lump wet, then gently rub it until it all dissolves off.
