Many grocery stores are carrying it. Walmart also has it. Also Heinz has out Apple Cider vinegar with the "mother" in it. The Mother is the good bacteria you want in your chicks' gut lining. Make sure whatever the brand....Heinz or Braggs you look for the "Mother" on the label.

My girls have been laying since Dec. I have one who has a little poop back there but not really what I would call pasty butt. I have trimmed her feathers a little and it has seemed to help. I thought it only happened with new borns. I wormed all of them last week and plan to do it again next week. Do you think that is the problem. I didn't see any signs of worms but was advised to do it since they had never been wormed before.

If you haven't already done so, add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar per gallon of water to their drinking water.

I forgot to mention . . . DON'T use apple cider vinegar in a metal waterer as it will corrode the metal. It's fine to use in plastic or glass waterers.

@Chicken Judy I have a hen with poorly designed fluff too. She has to be cleaned of her dingle poo every once in a while. Trimming does help.
