patients wearing thin GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I didn't see that you're feeding them laying pellets, if not do so. Also, I put a small wattage light in the house where the nesting boxes are (15w). It's very hot here in Mississippi, so I didn't want to generate more heat. The bulb stays on 24/7. My egg production, even in the heat, increased after a week. They need the light. Maybe it will help.

My girls were all hatched on the first day of March, and we just got our first egg last Wednesday. We started gradually switching them over to layer feed about a month ago- we would just gradually mix more and more into their starter crumbles until they were completly switched over. Go ahead and give them a dish of free choice oyster shell, too.

Only one of my hens in laying, but i think the others are close. She started on Wednesday and has laid 5 eggs in 6 days! The first egg was HUGE and was double-yolked, the others have been small, but perfect. Be patient! It's coming!
