Paw hut extra large coop

Hi All,

I'd like to get 4 or 5 chickens. I want to purchase a coop and saw this one

What do you think? Seems reasonably priced. I'm in southern Maryland b t w.

I have looked at the pawhut coops in person and they seemed kinda flimsy. For that amount you may be able to find a custom built coop locally, check craigslist. Or, if you're handy you could build something really nice with your budget.

Thanks, The local Amish want $1000 for a similar size. I'm sure it is really well made but I'm a complete newbie. Do you think it would be a waste of money?

You may get a year or two out of it. It doesnt have roofing material, its like astroturf. You have a good budget, I'd shop around and see if you could find something better made.

How wet/cold are you? i have one cheapie coop.. holds some extra roos.. it's a complete piece of nonsense lol i am buried in several feet of snow but as soon as i can it's being downgraded to brooder coop.. they simply do not stand up and never house the amount of birds they claim @ over 600$ i'd go buy a garden shed kit and make a coop with it, easy.. really and you don't even have to use the whole interior.

You can always go on EBAY and find chicken coop plans. They are fairly easy to build. Mine cost maybe 350$ to build

I'm sure that would be the best, but just don't have the time to build my own. I do appreciate the reply.

I understand the lack of time. It is taking me forever to get mine built. Post pics from your shopping trip, the Amish are such great craftsmen.
