I just got a great little box of eggs expertly packed from Crfarm. all are intact and now stuffed under my broody hen!!!! so frigin excited!!!!
she included 2 extras!!!

Many were marans eggs, so I couldn't tell about the air pocket and whether it is still intact and attached...I am not an expert candler yet, that is for sure. but honestly, they were very well packed so ...

Eggs arrived today from gamebirdsonly--all intact despite what they've been through. They were "en route" way too long and I hope they're okay. Durn Postal Service!!!!!

I still have two boxes of eggs "missing" from others and not one postal service employee can bother to tell me what happened!

Sorry, I am laughing 'cause I just saw this and earlier tonight I was PM'g AyeUp and used it (the not quite a swear-word) in the middle of another word and the language censor ****** it out! I am pretty sure I only 'thought' the word so now I think my thoughts are getting censored =:~) maybe I am on the naughty censor list ........ (wicked grins sneaking thru)

Oh Dear,
I must get that pic down. I don't recognize that brat! Too many decades and too many 'lifetimes' ago (as we used to call it "rode hard and put away wet" which means didn't take care of oneself in a loving fashion). But you are right I would choose Celtic as a close runner-up to Nordic if I could choose a "land race" with which to belong. I would "dance in the Irish Rain!" k/

while we are awaiting all of you guy's reports on your NYD hatches here

this week from Deb - 3 lakens, KYT two SFH (I think one ea) and from CJ two cream legbrs (one ea, another hatched but was not a strong dude) and two ea of my test eggs of bantam barnie (one ea sex) and w/bw am's and two stunningly marked duckies.
It is funny to observe that the ones of the same breed most likely settles in with the same even tho they were scattered in the 'bator.

With the swap eggs it is like a present every week or so with the staggered hatches.
