Just received a box of very dark, very gorgeous Penedesenca eggs from Ayeupchuck. Nicely packaged and in good condition . Did I mention they are really, really pretty?

Put 6/8 Barnevelders from Pysankygirl into lockdown.
Put 8/13 GCM from raven1 into lockdown. (Purchase, not swap, but thought I'd mention it anyway)

I had all but one in each group start development, then one of the Barnevelders and four of the GCMs quit. The rest all went to lockdown. Not planning on eggtopsies at those stages.

Got 6 call eggs from BlackBrookpoultry today. One was busted Hopefully the rest are alright inside but I have my doubts.

Also got 7 Barnevelders eggs from Pysankygirl. All arived in good condition.

No! I guess that's not phrased well. Of the eight you sent, seven started...began development. Then ONE quit. Oh dear! There's a very important word missing! I'll go edit that!

Okay, a second hatch from pysankygirl completed. Eight sent, six to lockdown, and five hatched. The sixth would have hatched had the air cell not slipped to the side, I assume during shipping. It couldn't do an internal pip. Two hatches so far from Pysankygirl's eggs, with ten Barnevelders to show for it!

I locked down GCMs from raven1 same day. 8/13. Nothing yet; not even a pip. Hoping they're just slowpokes.

5/8 pretty chicks from crfarm. Well packed. These guys survived various power outage issues and popped right out despite saddle snapped air cells. Nice healthy chicks!
