This is not from this thread, but Little Ameraucana Mom is swapping here. So, I thought I would just let everyone know that I got some eggs from Sally on the Online Swap thread and had 5/9 hatch even though they were lost in the mail for 5 days between Indiana and Michigan!!!

Now I just need to figure out who the blue/green egg is from

..Found out I received a B/W Ameraucana egg by mistake. I sure hope the person who got the Sumatra egg isn't too upset - because I would LOVE to hatch out one B/W - those are on my wish list..

I think its the Saturday crew at the post office that are the problem children here. I was tracking the package and saw it arrived today. I called to make sure it was there. I told the lady I had a package I was tracking and it said "Hold for Pickup" and I wanted to make sure it was there. She asked me "Why would it be held"... and I said "Um, because I asked the sender to do that and mark the box?" So she said she would have somebody look. The somebody came back and told me that they were there and they put it on the table for me, but that they didn't read every package.. they just scanned them and sorted them.. and started saying one person scanned 150 and another 139.. I asked didn't the scanner beep or something when they were supposed to be held? She said no .... but I have no clue how things are supposed to be done correctly if they don't bother to read. The label was marked correctly - and written in ink all the way around the label - in BIG letters "HOLD FOR PICKUP/WILL CALL and my phone number. And I guess it was still going out on the delivery vehicle when I called!

When I got there at the door and rang the bell, and said I had a package for Will Call, I was looked at sideways and asked if it was Express Mail. I said no, it is Priority Mail and it is on the table. She went into the back and found it... but it was like she didn't know anything except Express Mail could be held.. hoo boy.

All here, safe and sound, resting to recover and will be going in the incubator tomorrow.

I had the same problem when I told my PO that I had a package coming hold and call for pickup. They wanted to know what was in the package and why they had to hold it. I now go to USPS .com they actually have a hold for pick up label. The delivery address is the post office.

This had the "Hold for Pickup" label on it, and the Post Office address, and my address (for Id ONLY).. but they were still going to send it out to be delivered for me..

They should makeit so the scan has an alert, but then I guess it would do that at every stop

I did a side swap with Papa Brooder and he sent 18 MFL eggs.... maybe 2 were clear 2 or 3 started and stopped about 1/2 way. ANYWAY... hatch was yesterday and I got 12 cute little MFL chicks... from 2 different pens no less.... I have plenty from him with 2 pens to start my own lines with out out crossing

I don't know what he feeds those chickens but for them to hatch as well as they do from CA to TN is great!

I'm really bad about doing this, so I'll take care of this while I'm thinking about it.

Got two packages of eggs this morning.

First from Bee .......single boxed, wrapped perfectly, sent ten eggs and all arrived in perfect shape

Second was from crfarm.....double boxed, wrapped perfectly, sent 18 eggs and all arrived in perfect shape.

Happy happy joy joy the empty tray I found last night is now full again!

I received a wonderfully boxed box of tomato plants and bulbs from Rdbaker- I have to say... I am amazed they were in perfect condition on arrival! I had no idea you could ship plants that well.

Received egg box from Gabblebabble today. Single boxed, eggs packed individually in bubble wrap and all arrived in one piece. 6 big eggs and 6 banty eggs. Thank you.
