I also received a box of perfectly packed Rhodebar eggs today from Papabrooder. They are all in very good condition and thank you for the extras :)

Also want to add: I did a side trade last month with Jeff for some Speckled Sussex - 18 out of 19 shipped eggs made it to lockdown! They are pipping and popping out of the eggs right now! :D

Well hatch date was yesterday, but they are hatching today. Incubator a bit cool the first 14 days...

Not done with the hatch, but I thought I would put some good news here.

5/8 Barnvelders from Kitchenchick have hatched so far
1/6 Partridge Silkies from Brown Chicka Brown Cow so far
6/21 SFH from PapaBrooder have hatched so far.

I candled them so there are hopefully more to come, but they aren't out yet.

for more to make it out...

Also, Amyable did a swap with me on another thread and I have 12/14 Norwegian Jaerhons developing for sure, only 1 clear, and one that had a large crack and I can't tell if it is a blood ring or still developing. It's still early.

Update: 11 went into lockdown. 10 hatched--4 females and 6 males.

Yeah! Grow little turkeys grow!

Happy but a little bummed. Received 16 midgets. 15 were developing. 13 went into lockdown. 8 hatched but 3 died I think because they still hadn't absorbed their yolks completely. The others were developed but didn't pip an one died before zip. I think my first cabinet is running a touch too high. They were due on the 21st and hatched on the 17th and 18th.

BUT I have 5 very healthy little whites who are seriously adorable and friendly as I don't know what! It's crazy. They're like little turkey people. I've never seen anything quite like it. It's like they've imprinted or something. Super adorable. Definitely becoming a permanent fixture!!!!!

Awe I'm sad you didn't get more! They do tend to hatch a little early sometimes, so maybe it's just shipping stress. I was so hoping you would get more though.

And yes these are the friendliest turkeys I have ever raised! They are amazingly friendly. They will follow you all over the place as juvies and adults, are curiouser than George and love attention. They are my favorite turkey breed ever. I hope you enjoy them.

Updates on hatched eggs, I will fill out the feedback forms.
