Paypal rant! Heads up egg sellers!

I prefere moneyorder, but Paypal is a convenience, though the fees are astronimical
We should all join forces and start our own payment service for selling eggs only!! Ridiculous, isn;t it
Someone just hacked my Paypal account for $240 - I can't even use it for buying now or selling since it's been frozen

BUT I can make a payment!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't mind it costing $5.00 extra (usually less than the 3% Paypal regularly charges you can have your customer go to Walmart and buy a Moneypack for the amount and call or e-mail you the activation code and you can enter this and fund your Paypal account and side step all the hoopla.

I have stopped using E-Bay and PayPal. They were good in the beginning, but they've devolved considerably over the years and are no longer worth the aggravation.

I bet it's not Paypal (even though the e-mail comes from Paypal), it's Ebay and yet another reason I don't sell on Ebay anymore. I know that Paypal and Ebay are owned by the same people but the Ebay rules won't apply to everyday Paypal users, just the Ebay related ones, so this all goes back to the Ebay thing.

Thanks for posting this as I've been tossing up and down whether I want to try and sell some of my eggs on Ebay or not. I've been leaning more towards the "not" side of things and that just helped me make my decision that much easier. That is just crazy.

I always ask the seller if they will accept a money order, and if they don't, then I just go else where. Ebay told me that its up the the seller, if they'ed accept money orders or not. I feel bad for you. You should't have to wait so long for your money. After all, ebay is getting theirs right away!

X2 there are a lot of good folks here on BYC great hatch rates on the eggs I have been buying here I think ebay has probably had some credit card co. not pay them because of folks canceling payments because of poor packing /shipping and they are trying to recoup their losses​

I have not gotten anything similar from PayPal or ebay... I've also been a member for about 7 years and regularly buy and sell....

I must admit... I hate PayPal.

ALL new ebay accounts MUST select paypal as a payment option... older accounts that DO NOT have paypal linked to them are worth money these days....

This may be illegal but...

Maybe you should create a new Paypal account? And say that it is selling 'Business and Industrial' 'Farming Equipment'? The rates may be higher for the first couple sales, but it may be worth 50 cents for 21 days earlier payment....

Or you could switch to Google Checkout! I LOVE them. The order processing is so nice, and you get actual cash in your credit card, not e-money like Paypal.
