What really boggles me are the people who actually SAY Oh-Em-Gee out loud...
That was the freakiest thing ever... until this last week I heard someone say El-Oh-El

Seriously?!? Why didn't you just LAUGH if it was that freaking funny... why say the word laugh?
I'm beginning to wonder if they aren't cyborgs.... or maybe the ghosts of Taltos...

Well, I've hear my son & his friends say texting abbreviations, but they pronounce them as words, not individual letters.

Around here, some do pronounce lol to rhyme with awl.

What I found strange was some adults chattering at a restaurant over how to pronounce LMBO and LMAO

I say "lol" but only only in sarcasm. If something is funny, I laugh. And I take "el oh el" or "lol" as sarcasm too. I mean if it's funny to a person, they will actually laugh. To me, it's the equivalent of saying "boo hoo" rather than really crying.

I can't stand texting typing either. It's just too hard to try to figure out what they are trying to say, so I usually don't even read posts like that.
