Pea Eggs Scheduled to Hatch?

AugeredIN ,,I'd appreciate it a lot,,see if either of the males are b/s or have pied or w/e,and info on the hen,I lost a beautiful cameo w/e hen this spring because she was eggbound and showed no signs,,at least now I know a quick 5 minute cure for that issue.

FBC I have real hopes of making the convention in September. If you were interested in the bird from Craig Hopkins and worked it out with him. I could drop it off on the way back.

Nothing on this end yet. WIth my luck all of the eggs are probably not fertile.

Sorry about the update.

I'm sorry to say that no eggs hatched. 5 of the eggs were not fertile and the other 2 started forming but stopped thriving. But it's ok. I"m not upset. I have my white pea (who had me on the roof at 9:00 PM last night trying to get him off but that's another story - see pic below) and 2 other pieds. This was my first year hatching peas, so I think I did pretty good. I will try again next year. :)

So sorry you'd probably rather forget so disappointing. Next year, my fingers are crossed for you. I'm going to try and make my own incubator for next season during the winter. Mine is Styrofoam, I think it carries a good even heat, but it just lets out way to much humidity anyway that is my thoughts. What a beautiful roof ornament, you were so lucky to get that one, he's worth all the eggs you lost. Just beautiful.

Picture time! Curious pea baby and protective Mom giving her "I-ain't-playin" look.

Learning to eat!

Exploring outside the nest without Mom.

No sign of a crest (what is that thing on top of their heads called,) yet, but what beautiful eyes!

No color showing but it is just two days old, hoping for a white. Anyone want to tell me what type/color it is or may be? If it's a male, he's mine! If it is a hen, the owner of the pair gets her and I get more eggs. If you can tell me anything about this chick, anything at all, please do! I have never even seen a pea-chick this young before, much less raised one.
