We only have a couple of fertile eggs so far. First hatch three weeks from yesterday.

Who's laying?

I'm currently pushing the top of my very limited housing capacity here. Would offer to drop a few loaners at your place if it weren't like 2000 miles, give or take a few hundred

Why yes, @new 2 pfowl , that IS new peababy #6. Appears to be a lovely little girl with interesting coloration. I think (and could well be shown wrong later

) that I am at 3 & 3, with all the girls showing much more white and generally lighter than these particular boys. #6 is the lightest yet, with a slightly different tone to her feather colors. I'm anxious to see how they grow out.

Peababy photo fix of the day (3/25/16):

Here's peachicks #5 & #6 (peachick #6 is on the right in the photo, with the white flights and lighter coloration), right after they moved to the brooder to join peachicks #2-4. There was quite the initial consternation, but they're over it now

Poor Mikey (peachick #1) is still by himself on top of the whole crowd below him. If any of the next batch of eggs hatch, I'll move the bigger buddies up to join him. He's just too big for the little ones right now.

Here's peababy #6 basking under the heat lamp on her little washcloth "nest." (They really like having someplace comfy to curl up!)

There ya go, @new 2 pfowl

Good for another 24 hours, right? So when do you think you might have chicks @KsKingBee ? Eventually I'm gonna run out of eggs

(I thought both hens had stopped after the older hen went broody on the clutch. But found a new one from the little SP hen last evening, so I guess she's not quite done yet.)

Peachicks (1) do not stay still, and...

(2) despite being less than a week old, they can FLY!!!

Even with two of us, two peachicks had us outnumbered. This is not like taking photos of baby chickens

But our peababies are soooo worth it! Happy Easter to all
