This is Gobby ...he's (?) a little clown...is this bald spot on top of head normal?
I had 3 late hatches this year with similar marks. Chicks are all healthy and happy, it gradually fills in as they feather out. Cute birdie!
That is a massive relief! Thank you XXX
When i went down to the meadow yesterday to feed her there was still three eggs. Now i go down today and there is a little one. So i guess now i share my birthday with this little one.
SweePea, the hen in my avatar, and her sister Sista are snuggling with their five babies.
Penny is taking care of her only child.
Three co-moms and their seven babies.
She needs to be careful, that hen next door wants her babies.
Love those pictures of moms & babies!
Just an update on the little peachick, still going strong but unfortunately she/he will be alone as the next day the mother had left the other two eggs. But they were both unfertilised, i didn't think she would know and just sit on them until they hatched.
Our other Peahen that had lost her two Peachicks is showing a strong interest in her Peachick. Is this normal?
