Peacock or Peahen??

Knock Knock you did but they are babies so until they get their big pea feathers i would not say spaldings ...but who knows anymore so much mixing going on and them not being registered with DNA a pedigree we are at the mercy of ones word if they even know.
Is this something that I should be looking into? Having them registered and tested? This is like totally foreign to me right now so take it easy on the beginner!

No, set back and relax, enjoy the conversation. This is a learning experience for all of us trying to see different things in a birds appearance trying to figure its heritage. It may be futile not knowing the exact lineage of the parents but it is training our eye to see things that we would otherwise miss.

Ok my Pea experts let me know what you all think I have for males and females since this last post. 100% positive that I have 1 male India Blue that would Brock. The other 2 I was pretty sure they were female but now I'm second guessing myself because I'm seeing a touch of the royal blue color coming in on the neck feathers and also the rust color flight feathers that I'm seeing on them as well. Not as deep of a rust but still there. Also, the other India Blue has a few spots of green coming in on her or his back.

I did have 1 more Pea when I originally posted here however she was taken by a fox along with 5 of my chickens right before Christmas. It was devastating but now I NEVER let my guard down and I WILL have that fox stuffed and mounted in my garage! Been trying to trap him with no luck yet but mark my words he will regret the day he decided to take my babies! Way off topic but back to my male female debacle, what do you think I have? Pics are below and Brock stands right out as a male so it's the other 2 I'm questioning now.

You are referring to this image, right?

The one in the back is the male, the other two are hens. You can see the male still has the bars on his wings while the hens don't.

ETA: The hen on the left seems to have some green blood, that's why she is showing more color on her neck.

Why can't I upload these pictures??!! Trying to copy and paste and it shows them entered in the post but nothing shows up when I submit it! Help! Any suggestions??!!

I know others are better at explaining how to upload pics but try this; hit the Reply button as you normally do, and look at the row of icons across the top. There is a box that looks like a letter envelope to me but it is really a mountain and sun. Press that and another box will show up with a Upload button, press that and it should take you to your picture library. Select the pic you want and when it loads select the Large Icon button and when it is done enter Select

Your pic should show in your reply.

Really? Green as in Java Green? That's exciting to hear because I would love to own a java green someday and I might have one with a touch of that breed lol. Thanks for your input!
