peacock with swollen eye-UPDATE

OK, I haven't caught him yet, for a couple of reasons. One, my kids still have not been home long enough or at the right time, to help.
But more importantly, he's showing significant improvement. Two days ago his eye was open, but looked terrible, cloudy and bubbly.
Yesterday was better. Today, it's open, and much clearer. He still has the swelling under the eye, and it is less. It is also apparently draining
out of his nostrils. It is obviously bothering him, and he is tilting his head, but my feeling is that it may clear up ok. He also was calling when he
saw me coming with the treats yesterday, he saw me before I could find him, which was funny.

He was letting me know where he was!

Anyway, I just can't get a close enough picture, as he can now see well enough to keep turning away from me. I still have him on the double strength
Denagard, soaking treats with it, morning and night. And he has the regular strength dose of denagard in the flock's water, otherwise.

Do you think the swelling will drain out and clear up on it's own, without having to do the surgery thing to remove the rest of it? I would say yes, but I don't
know how long before it turns into something you have to cut out...
