Peafowl for 2013

The lady that drove from New Orleans to buy some of my peas sent me pics. I could cry they are so stinkin' cute !!!!!!!!!!! :hit I am always worried who I sell my babies to, so I always follow up with them. When I saw these pics, I was relieved to see that they were in a loving home and that she does spend time with them. But then again, this is the person that brought a hot pink, studded carrying case lined with carpet and probably a heater installed in it to deliver them back. When I saw that, I knew that she would be a great owner.

With all this egg talk I'm going to check my pen tonight. Crossing my fingers to NOT find any eggs! Y'all just keep the egg fairy to yourselves until next spring. :)

I'm very excited now that I have a few silver pied hens and am looking forward to getting a silver pied male next year.

Humidity Problems!!!!!!! The eggs are on lockdown as of yesterday and the humidity gets no higher than 50 and drops to 30. It will not get any higher and I don't know why. I have tried EVERYTHING!!!! Both trays are filled with water and also have sponges in both trays. I have 2 saturated sponges on the floor of the incubator above the wells. In addition to that, I have a towel that I keep saturated with water. I just put in a small cup of hot water by the eggs. I have adjusted the vent in different ways to see if that would help.

Can anyone suggest anything else to get the humidity higher and stay high???

Keep in mind that I am an incubation/incbator novice, but I noticed that once my humidity reached ~70% the lid would get foggy, so if that's happening with yours, you *might* be okay.
