I checked the last pea egg that didn't hatch and when I cracked it open the pea was fully developed but just didn't hatch for some reason. I"m glad to know that the 1st 4 pea eggs of the season were all fertile. I have only collected 3 eggs from the time that I sold the last 10. I said that I wasn't going to hatch anymore but I may have to throw these 2 pea eggs in the incubator with some guinea eggs.
Sorry 'bout your 4th egg.

I definitely think you should hatch the other two, I know I would!

Thanks.

I think I will. It's only 3 and I could possibly get 3 more peas. I may set them on Wednesday. I'll have to plug the incubator up today, so it can be ready.

Looks like my first incubating "experiment" was not very successful... 100% fertility, 40% hatch. Two hatched one day early, the other two hatched a few hours shy of 28 days. Going to give the last four eggs until the end of the day and then I'll crack them open and try to figure out when they died.

I gotta clean my bator and set my eggs, too. Maybe I'll have better luck this time round.

For a first timer, I would say that you did good. At least some did hatch. You will get better as you have more practice. :thumbsup

Thanks.

I cleaned mine yesterday. I hope the girls can lay at least 4 more but if not, I'm happy with the 3 that I have.

The peas that hatched still look like they will be WHITE IB. I"m not sure how I got to be that lucky to have all whites? :idunno With my luck, the colors will change, or will they?

I'm not sure what I could change... So maybe I handled them more than I should have, but I've done the exact same with the five eggs under the Cochin, so who knows... 40% sucks!
