I AM STARTING THIS THREAD FOR ALL THE PEAFOWL ADDICTS OUT THERE!!!! COME JOIN US AND WE CAN SHARE ALL OF THE STRESSFULL, AMAZING, WONDERFUL, FUNNY, AND HEARTBREAKING MOMENTS TOGEATHER!!!! IN THE LONG WAIT FOR HATCH DAY

my set date: Thursday 10:00om the 23th of May
Hatch date: June 20th

What was set: 13 eggs - black shoulder, indian pied, black shoulder silver pied (chance of all white) and spalding (with the chance of a pure Java or spalding pied from this pen

Good luck with your hatch! I have one questions, how could you possibly get a pure java from your spaldings?

I have probably 12 eggs in right now that are all staggered on hatch dates. I put eggs in about every 3 days from 2 hens. Just started hatching this week. Only got 1 out of the first 3, but have 3 more in lockdown now. So will have an ongoing hatch from now until they stop laying.

the pen had one pure hen and several spalding hens covered by a pure male.... so if I got the egg laid by the pure girl then I got the pure baby ... fingers crossed

I just hatched my first 2 Peachicks this week, from parents that I thought were just pure IBs...


...but umm NOT, lol. I don't mind tho! My very first 2 Pea eggs gave me 2 pretty little Peachicks

I have 4 more of their eggs going into lock-down Wed of next week, 3 more the week after that, 4 more the week after that, and 1 more fresh egg in storage so far... weekly anxiety attacks!
