I would appreciate any advice. I will have to start a thread about my imprinting adventure and that is where you can help me out. Let's hope that I do not have to experience the "darkside" of imprinting.

Here are the pictures of my India Blue Split White peahen that decided to go broody, so I gave her eight eggs.

Now here are the pictures of the bronze peachicks:

They are still with the cochin broody in the brooder. The fourth one was under the broody when I was taking pictures. They are already so friendly and adorable!

I hatched another pretty little Pied, this one's even more Pied than the 1st one.

Saying that I am thrilled is an understatement... I have wanted Pied Peafowl since I was a kid.

I'm up to 8 PeaBabies now. 2 Pied IBs, 1 Dark Pied IB (I think) and 5 regular IBs. I haven't had time to get pics of all the others... but you all know what IB Peachicks look like, lol. I just set 6 fresh eggs a couple nights ago... I have 2 PeaHens laying now, not sure how the fertility will be tho.

My 3 Hens ALL laid an egg tonight, and I was able to mark who laid which egg

. I think only the older Hen is the only one producing the Pied babies, we shall see tho...

I will be glade when the season is over but how i love them wee peas, they bond way faster than any bird i ever had here and it is so hard to letting them go, next year i swear i am only selling eggs :/

First... I must have missed this about dangers of imprinting!@!!!!!! I was given a pea baby when I bought eggs.... because it is the only one it has bonded very closely to me and will follow me around and loves to sit on me and does not mind at all to be held or pick-up... I DO NOT WANT A MONSTER PEACOCK!!!! the roosters jumping me is enough! ... and they will go to freezer heaven if they keep it up....

How do I prevent this with an already bonded pea baby

also maybe it will be a girl!

it is a spalding chick any guesses on gender.... I hear some can tell .... it is 4 weeks old today

They do bond fast, and they are so curious.

Put me on your list for eggs when you start selling them next season
