Peafowl Noise, How bad and at what age do they start?

I do to and when i am standing outside at night and they all start meowing i start to laugh and can't imagine them being in a neighborhood were everyone would like their calls, folks can be so fussy

That is why i could never live in a neighborhood, i want to do what i want to do and have what i want to have and not bother anyone in the process.
Sure wish we could have bought a place like that, but to get something like that would mean a two or more hour commute each way or way too much money. This would work, but who has $1.8 million dollars? Not us, lol.

Yea a comute is what kept us closer to our jobs, otherwise i we would have bought a place farther up country cause "eventualy" is happening and i am starting to hear folks in the distance because developments have started out here in our sourounding area, it is very sad to hear but i am lucky to have what i do and at leat i can't see them folks i hear in the distance.

there is always one In every neighborhood that finds something to complain about. mine occasionally wander and apparently they made her horses sick , ruined her car and basically her whole life! I said gee, that's odd, they never ruined any of my cars for the last 25 yrs, they never made my horses sick and they eat bugs all day whereas her cats travel around killing things and creating more feral cats for me to feed....of course, I am to blame...the person who can't stand a bird walking across their pasture needs to fold up and move to an apartment!

My Master P has taken to roosting by the easement that leads threw our property , my neighbors son has moved back in and at night when he comes in Master screams his head off when he passes by, i spoke to him this morning and he informed me that the peacock scared the bajesus out of him when he drove by, he said he new my peas called during the day but did not know what was screaming at him when he drove by, he thought it might have been me

so he turned around and realized that if it was me i was way up in the pine tree

I like the way they sound. I have had guineas for many years and nothing is louder than a flock of guineas. I only have one close neighbor and they are across the road, elderly,a little deaf, and say they like the guinea and peacock calls. I am soooo lucky. I really feel for those of you that have weird neighbors that somehow got the idea that "country" meant quiet. If the noise really bothers them, they could plant trees or large bushes on the border between your place and theirs, or better insulate their house. Although I did have a peacock that roosted every night on the roof of the new garage a neighbor down the road built, they didn't tell me about it until he got hit one morning coming home.

My peacocks are around three years old now and are just starting to make a very loud noise. Neighbors said it sounds like a jungle over here.
