I know this question is a long shot because I dont have much information.
I have a peahen that raises her feathers and dances like the boys. I've always thought it was cute, but I'm low on hens because last breeding season was not kind to us (but local wildlife dined well)...
I assume the dancing is hormone related in some way, so... do you think she can lay eggs?
Bonus question: my other peahen nearly died a few years back. I found her on side with her legs sticking out in typical dying bird fashion. I force fed her chick starter and, I think, corid water (which I think now was irrelevant) and she lived but shes got neurological damage - her neck kinda... has more range of motion than it's supposed to have. Neither of those two hens nested this spring. Do you think she can still lay? I know, long shot question.
Pics are of the first peahen mentioned.
