We have a 15th century building next to us with a courtyard and I went in to check why the peahens kept going in.
The reason is they've been laying eggs, there was 10 in one spot but no one is laying on them.
Is there any reason they aren't nesting? And why have a few of them chosen one spot?

They will add eggs to a single nest until a hen decides there are enough and will begin to brood. Hens only lay an egg every other day and in the end, will do a better job of incubating her eggs than we can with an incubator.
