Hi there! So I have a peahen who for the past couple weeks has had droopy wings and closing her eyes off and on throughout the day. I thought maybe she was getting ready to lay an egg soon, but still has not. Today I checked her bottom to see if she was possibly egg bound. The first thing I noticed was that she had what looked to me was the size of a large pea prolapse. I used a gloved finger with Vaseline and pushed that back in and also checked to see if I could feel anything hard like an egg. I could not feel anything hard at all. She was wormed with Ivermectin topical for cattle April 23rd and looked her over good for lice/mites, which she does not have. She also has no other signs of being sick like wheezing, gasping, mucus from nose, etc. I am up for suggestions or maybe I should just wait and see if it is just her getting ready to lay? What's really throwing me off is her standing with her eyes closed, because I know that's a sign of not feeling weell. Please, any suggestions to try or put me at ease would be greatly appreciated!
