Pecking Order?

When do chicks begin determining the pecking order? My girls are 5 weeks old tomorrow and some of them will flap their wings and kind of try to jump on the others back. It doesn't seem to be hurting any of them. I just don't know if this is the pecking order being determined or what. Thanks for the help.

The pecking order code is in operation from day one. It's just not as serious and intense as it will get after they become mature.
