Someone, somewhere on a previous post said they steam their eggs. I tried this - use steamer basket, get water boiling and steam eggs about 20 minutes. I peeled almost all of them fairly easily.
I am a total newbie here and have not even started down the road of chickenville. Lots to learn before I jump into the chicken thing so still studying. Anyhow on store bought eggs the best way I have found to get hard boiled eggs is with an actual egg cooker. It puntures the egg as well as cooks them to perfection. The model I use is the "Salton-EG1-Great-Poacher". Although I believe this model is now obsolete there are many similar units on the market. Looking forward to hearing how it works out with fresh eggs.
I recently aquired an egg cooker. I love it! Her name is Henrietta. She's dual purpose. She cooks my eggs, plus she's part of my "chicken" kitchen decor!
