I went to the garden and when I was looking at plants i spoted an insect sitting on a leaf. Got him, made sure he doesnt sting or anything and offered him to chicks. They went mad!! One gobbled him up within second! And it wasnt small, about 1.5cm long. And they still pretendentów they are having problems with half mm grain

Lol. I had ducks before but they were bullying my chickens so gave them to a farm with ducks up the road. There dogs ate 3 of them

Sooo id love to hatch runners. Also them pure black chickens.. ayam cayan?

Its supposed to be a light sussex x buff sussex. Whys it got this black dot and lines down back an beside eyes lol

Too cute! What georgous brooder youve got!! Those dark lines are partridge feature i think. It doesnt mean theyll stay like that.

In the meantime Ive rearranged our brooder. Now theyve got the 'earth feeder' inside. Quite low so they can jump in and out easily.

Oh and what exactly is this partridge gene? Isnt that a different breed on its own.. hmm im silly arnt I lol another wee pic

Partridge is a colour or actually a pattern. Google that because its hard to explain. But there can be different colours within partridge gene. However, im not sure that yours is p. That pattern is just similar to my chicks pattern.

I use woodshavings but they arent cheep in a long run...

Wow had a look I know what u mean now. Very similar although my chicks alot lighter as a whole with the black marks, how on eaeth this happened I dunno lol kinda cool
