peeping!!!

Not sure really. I think they are partridge silkies but dont know what colour. I need to ask on partridge silkie thread. Anyway, most of them are from a white hen, a few are from well... kind of a black hen which really is not that black so it might be considered blue? And the roo is sort of a beigy colour with a hint of lavender underneath. I think hes partridge. Sorry, im new to silkies ;-)

Aww they're beautiful. Iv not worked out the picture adding yet lol

My egg in the bator not looking good. Iv good humidity but the chick seems to be pushing like mad at the membrane to get out for half a day now :/ its a bit of shell of but not the membrane.

Worried

dont worry! Mine needed almost 24 hrs from external pip to hatching. And Yes they were banging pointlessly in one spot before they moved on.

Even with membrane intact? Its awful it would remind you of white cling film around it.

Membranes thick white looking. Its pecking an pecking at it without making any holes. Shell is off that area.

Ok breathe in and out lol im calm

Yes. Then they turn and start zipping
Sometimes the membrane is broken only partly until they start pushing the unzipped top of the shell back and then it breaks. From pip to zip 24 hours is not unusual.

Bravo! For him and for you because it is sooo hard to stop yourself and wait, Isn't it? Im shattered too. But it was worth it...

Yes very.! Ill leave the two eggs in bator till tomorrow then mybe candle them to be sure theyre not going to hatch.

THEN.. sleep for a whole day lol

Until the next time... possibly runner ducks hmm lol

Doing float test would be better i think.

Ive put chickies to sleep ;-) no light at night. Hopefully they will be hungry in the morning because they didnt eat too much.
