peeping!!!

I only had one egg it is partially blind in one eye, but is so hyper that it jumped out of the brooder box(by climbing the water jug) and followed me to my kitchen! It didn't peep when it followed me and peeped once it bit my toe!! It can see just fine, but I'm a little worried about it.

She's hatched!! Ive got 8 beautiful baby silkies. 100% hatched!!!

Have abit of a problem tho, the four chicks in the brooder are panting? Moved away from light an still panting. I ended up switching off the lamp.

One is drinking the other's are not

Too hot for them. Can you move the lamp a bit higher? Hope the little one will make it!

Thanks. The lamp is fixed on so cant move it. My house us really warm today aswell. Id say they be ok without the light for a few hours. If they cool down I will put it on again

Cant believe my first ever try results in 4 gorgeous chicks and one on the way! The last two eggs showing ni signs of life.

Yeah, great result! Now well be waiting to see who is who ;-) I know Ill have hard time to sex my silkies. I need just one roo but i think its not going to happen. Hoping for at least 4 girls though.

My egg in the bator not looking good. Iv good humidity but the chick seems to be pushing like mad at the membrane to get out for half a day now :/ its a bit of shell of but not the membrane.
