I took a

Ohiki Rooster

CROSSED with ( couldn't locate my hen pic so here is one I found that looks Just like her)

And came out with identical hens ~
So I kept them all trying to find a Rooster to cross with them.

Yes they're the one I want to cross you ,and yes they're from the same hatch.
If I crossed white Araucanas I would probably get a hybrid with the light Sussex markings, but they're type/shape would be a bit variable.

I bet he would be an amazing roo to my hens ~ with the orange and all. To bad to live way the heck over there!

My last Project has taken me a couple years to get my

Lemon-Laced Cuckoo Brahma ! (My LemonBird Project)

I just set 6 eggs to see fertility. I hope I get more lemons ! I was VERY happy I got HUGE amount of leg/foot feathering! Next I will start to experiment with combs n wattles but not until next year after I get my constant standard of coloring!

So I use to have a bunch of different breeds ~ but have decided on my fave breeds to work with
(I will add other breeds to "project" with though)

My Brahmas & Ohikis because they come in so many color variations
I get my Bantams, and my Large fowl !

I really am interested in working with the Fibro Melanistic ~ Black Chickens !

If you are wanting to breed your birds pure youre gonna need to breed a better face into those brahmas. not a single comb etc.

That's whats fun about projects ~ I get to make them the way I like

and don't need to do anything.
Not the standard that is expected !
I am not interested in breeding pure anymore, have done that for years, and for me got boring. I will keep some of my Ohiki's pure for others to hatch, but I want to have fun with them too!

So I thought having a cross project FORUM was needed so peeps could share what they want and have fun doing it without being ridiculed or told what they need to do. But share there creative visions

I just LOVE my Rooster Project LemonBird just the way he is

,(for now

) and want to get some hens just like him and see if I can get a consistant coloring and confirmation. Over the next year. Will set all many eggs and see what constant colors I get over the next couple months!

It was awesome when I finally got the laced chest ! And the barring !

Wonder if I could make a Fibro Melanistic Brahma ?!?

I must say Iam not too interested in pure domstic fowl. I like my crosses and just about my whole flock is composed of them. How about trying to standardise your lemon brahmas into a new breed?
