Peeps in Europe!

I've been watching different videos online on how to butcher. I also helped my neighbor a few years ago. My problem is not the butchering but where to do it. I don't have my own garden... I have one in a Kleingartenverein. No power there to warm the water... plus the mess. My garden is narrow but long....like only 4,5 m wide... so the neighbors are close by. Then at the chicken coop.. I have power but only one faucet for the whole club. We'll see... I am sure I'll have more than just 3 roosters next fall so I'm hoping to get it done.
I saw a great video from Justin Rhodes. He explained it real well.

Welcome @crissy1079 ! I'm the crazy American who relocated to Germany......really my wife told me to. Not a breeder as @abpatchy or @Erba are, but an egg eater with 3 kids who wanted chickens as pets. Hopefully you will stay active in this thread as it seems to be only about 5 of us who post.

@Papa John59 HA HA. i am not a breeder, just looking for real White Sussex hens. I unfortunately got ones that look like it, but are cross bred. You only know for sure when you try to hatch the eggs. My cross bred have never gone broody either, which I suppose is the point of cross breeding. That and many eggs maybe. I love them, but have a feeling that I've been ripped off. I was a newbie so I suppose I should have researched more, and joined back yard chickens before I got them!! lol Anyway, you live and learn.

@Erba there are hybrids out there that are being sold als sussex, marans and other breeds. They are not the real thing but look like it. When you hatch eggs from those you get different looking chicks because they are a hybrids and mixed.

I've also been looking at meat chickens, i'm still debatting wether i am going to start with meat chikckens or with dutch bantams, but i will be butchering. I've made room in the shed for the butchering so my nosy neighbors wont see.
