After a little blood, a LOT of sweat and no tears (some swearing, but no tears) - the coop was ready for occupancy today. First time outside for the 6 younger peeps (5 weeks-ish) and the first time together with the older two (7 weeks Dominiques). Only a little chasing and pecking by the biggest chicken all in all VERY smooth.

The younger peeps checking out the 'big kid' watering hole.

Thanks for the positive comments. This is our first time and I used a lot of BYC input in addition to the books in planning. I have a post on the coops thread with more details about the panels. Titled something like "It Almost Killed Us, But..."

The coop walls and floor as well as all the run walls (except house wall) are modular. If (heaven forbid) it would ever need to be moved, it won't have to be trashed, just dismantled and reassembled. There are separate short panels you can't see well here (behind the little cedar shingles at the bottom which are sunk 12" into the ground. They have the hog panel and welded wire, too.
