4 yo pekin hen has had difficulty for past couple of months swallowing things she’s eaten for years, grapes, peas etc and we’ve had to remove food from mouth because she was choking and couldn’t breath. This morning she couldn’t swallow at all. Any food she’d eaten she would flick out with frothy mucus attached. She can’t eat or drink. Frothy white mucus coming out of mouth slowly. She smells like sour milk.
Will I drown her if I syringe water in mouth? Very worried

If the stuff in her mouth is more liquid than thick, sticky paste, I bet she has a raging case of sour crop that may even be complicated by being impacted.

Take a photo of her wide open mouth, and have someone hold it open so we can see exactly what's going on in there.

Does her crop feel extended and full?

She has white mucus in mouth. She’s being flicking it out most of the day. I gave her some mashed boiled egg which she ate a bit of but then it eventually came back out with mucus.
