Pekin Duck Club!

I would like to be added please. I have 2 pekin ducks, daisy and donald. I have been reading about treats for them and there are alot of great ideas. I give them salad mixture, oat meal, roman lettuce which they love. They also get bread once a day but in moderation, they love bread more then anything, well no that's not true their favorite is meal worms. Thanks to everyone who has put up information about ducks treats. Going to have to give them a try.

I have 6 pekins and a few other breeds.

Look what I picked up at the post office yesterday, 11 little Jumbo Pekin's from Metzer Farms. Straight run unsexed. 1/2 of them have pink bills and 1/2 an orange bills, don't know if that has anything to do with sex. Know they eventually all turn orange.

Will put them up for sale after choosing 2 hens for my Rouen Clair breed experiment next year. Keeping 1 Pekin. drake for the Rouen hens too. Metzer's charges a small order penalty for less than 10 so it's cheaper to just get the minimim required 10 and sell the extras on craigslist. Will keep the drake with the most horizontal carriage for my breed project. Pekin's are normally fairly upright in carriage compared to a Rouen, but the 2014 batch of Jumbo Pekin's did have 1 drake with very horizontal carriage, so hoping to get another this batch.

I just put 5 pekin eggs in the incubator. they're either pekin x black Swedish cross, or pekin x khaki Campbell cross. Fingers crossed they're fertile!
