Anyone else think this one might have mallard in it, it's a darker almost greyish yellow and appears to have markings around the bill

The other father options would be a pekin, a black Swedish or a blue Swedish.
Nice Pekin babies. Sometimes I think the darker, richer colored pekin ducklings are male, and the more light bright yellow they are that they are females. Don't know if this reliable sexing method, but have a 50% chance of being right.They both look like Pekins to me from the photos.
And it's so much fun to watch how they change over the weeks ahead too. Keep up with the pics they are adorable.Hmm, I'll keep that in mind. I don't think they're pure pekins, we only have one pekin male out of our four drakes, making the chances pretty slime as it is but of the five that have hatched (four survived) all were pure yellow and I don't think lord Farquack is the father of ALL of them because those were eggs collected over a week or so from all our hens. But I guess we'll see as they get older.
