Our ducklings were really scared of us at first. On the third day my daughter decided to sit completely still in a bigger playyard area and wait for them to come to her. They eventually crawled up onto her legs and sat there because it was warm. The next day they started to snuggle with her. Now it is my daughter's routine to sit with them everyday after school.

Hard to tell from this pic, but doesn't look like it to me...You can easily tell a Drake from hen in Pekin by their quack. There are many videos on YouTube that you can listen to so you can hear it. Males are more monotone than females. Thanks I'm guessing shes just a jerk then lol. Pretty sure she sounds the same as chatty and Kathy. Just been doing an awful amount of dominating. Can't wait for spring to be over. Please tell me tbey chill out a little.

I'm am not sure, as I am new to Pekin ducks..Lol. Have had many other breeds but only 1 Pekin and boy is she hefty

but she's so sweet. I'm sure some of the others with more experience can chime in on their behaviors for ya

If you're talking about the first 1 of the 3 Pekins, from the picture it looks like a Drake to me. That 1 feather that is completely curled looks like a Drake feather to me. Can you get a better picture? Also what does that duck sound like? Is it loud? & Does it quack? Or does it have a soft raspy sound?
