Pekin Duck Club!

 I wonder if people just skim through messages. I never said a thing about poultry and garlic. I said that vets around here all say dogs should not have it.
I didn’t think it had enough niacin, and asked for confirmation. I ordered some stuff off Amazon. As I said, there are no sources around here. I really live in the country. The closest Walmart doesn’t sell anything like that.
Did you know Walmart sells caskets and urns? :D

Boy that last sentence was a surprise:lau

I don't think ppl skim I just think they like to give their opinion. If you mention it..they will come and leave a comment. :D

I need help! I have a 4month old Pekin who has some walking issues, she wattles a few feet and falls down, she has to use her wings to help her stand, she sits most of the time. Today I found she has a bloody vent, the chicks have been pecking at it. I have her separated but I don't know how to treat her wound. Or how to determine what is wrong with her leg. I will try to get a video of her wattle tomorrow.
Jpat has a point about possible mating.
My thoughts were coccidisosis or a vitamin/niacin deficiency.

If you don’t know if you have drakes, they are probably too young to try having sex.

I just looked up how to tell and no I do not have a drake, I have four female-thank goodness!

I had been given them Niacin, they were all looking good. I believe she injured her leg or hip when I was transferring them to the big coop, they ran over each other and she was injured. It seems to come and go. I'm going to take her out to the yard and get video of her walking tomorrow and post it here. Should I take a picture of her vent so we know what we are dealing with? It was horrible today, I'm hoping it will be better tomorrow.

Check your ducks legs.... are they swollen? Bow-legged at all? Any scabs on the feet or legs? What do you feed it?

She has a bit of a turned in foot but no swelling. When she originally got hurt I had put my hand under her, between her legs, and let her legs hang down and there was this crushing & loud pop sound. I kept her in the house for a couple of days, she was able to stand and walk. This was three weeks ago.
