Pekin Duck Club!

LOL.. have you always raised them together? see my chickens were penned for the first year or so.. the ducks never had direct contact prior to that with chickens.
Yes they are all together through out the day only at night are they separated into their own housing. What was really funny was my Game bantam roo trying to take on the gander. Wish I'd gotten those times on video.

nate1, I agree a vet is best - and if you can get better pics that might be helpful, they may be plugged with something that could be rinsed out by using a syringe without a needle and some purified lukewarm water.

In a few hours, my handsome drake Pekin, "Aflac" will be on his way to his new home. He and his harem of Crested ducks will be living with a family with geese & chickens from the BYC forums. It's a bittersweet moment, as there is no real reason we're re-homing them...other than we've realized we're more chicken people than duck people. I hope he lives a long life & makes lots of cute ducklings in his future. He's as sweet as he is good-looking. My family & I will miss "Aflac", "The Three Musketeers" & "Brownie"...but we know they are going to a good home.

PS: Thank you, Pekin Duck Club, for being so kind and helpful in our short, but sweet, journey into the world of Pekin raising.

You know you realized it and did the best thing by waiting till someone who loves ducks wanted them, not always such a happy ending sad to say, so thank you for going about it the right way. Best always to you and your flock of chickens.

That's great news, that is one reason we harp about making sure duckling/ducks have water deep enough to keep their nares cleaned and open. they eat crumble next thing you know if they don't have deep enough water their nares are clogged up. So glad your parents saw it.
