Pekin Duck Club!

You Rock. Your post is not long at all. It was fun reading. Your ducks Waffles and Potato are soooo cute. Love their names and he face is adorable and so is her pigeon toed walk. Keep the stories and pix coming.

Thank you! I managed to coax them out of their pen with treats today, and tossed some handfuls of corn and dried mealworms around to give them something to forage. Hopefully they'll realize that snow isn't so scary, lol.

They are regular size Pekin ducks. lay egg every other day. We got them when they already an adult duck so they are still not come to us like our ducklings would. We kept them in the backyard as pet. :)

hopefully in time they will come to you. pekins are still neat ducks and super cute. My friend has one and she's beyond adorable.

We hope so too. We are hoping to hatch their egg in incubator in spring. Ped (duck word in Thai language) , the female pekin, isnt a very broody duck.

Hi can I join? I've owned my Pekin pair for two years now and have hatched some of their babies through an incubator. My girl (stir fry) hasn't shown any interest in sitting on her eggs.

A photo of Goose (drake) in their young days and a recent one. Goose recently pulled out is drake feather so is looking a tad female lol.

Hello Folks!

Yesterday at Poultry Congress I got these two Pekin Hens! They were marked as Runners but are obviously Pekins from what I can tell! I am trying to make them feel at home and get them to eat, so advice is appreciated! These are my first ever ducks, although I have 45+ chickens and two sheep! They are currently being quarantined in a large brooder with a water bowl, layer pellets in a bowl, and lots of straw!
